ERN RITA and RIPAG Council Member

In April 2017, the European Commission launched 24 European Reference Networks (ERNs). These are virtual networks involving healthcare providers from across Europe. They aim to facilitate discussion on complex or rare diseases and conditions that require highly specialised treatment, and concentrated knowledge and resources.

The relevant ERN for patients with autoinflammatory diseases is RITA, which stands for Rare Primary Immunodeficiency, AuToinflammatory and Autoimmune Diseases.  The ERN RITA has 3 arms covering primary immunodeficiencies, autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseaseslike FMF, CAPS, TRAPS, HIDS, etc.

Each ERN has a European Patient Advocacy Group with members and representatives. The council for the ERN RITA is called RIPAG. The FMF & AID is very proud to have been selected as one of the five patient organizations across Europe to be part of the RIPAG Council, and to actively represent patients.
